i have a digital camera that can record video clips at 30 frames per second and saves the clips as mpeg files. The clips looks awesome on my camera and awesome on my computer, either its opened with Windows Media Player or RealPlayer, the quality was great. But when I uploaded the clip on YouTube, i lost quality really bad! what happened here, how can i fix it?

YouTube recommends 320x240, so i resized my clip to 320 x 240, then uploaded it to YouTube again. But, still.....it didn't work at all, the quality was still very bad! Please help! Thank you!

By resized I assume you meant downsized (going from a higher resolution to a lower resolution.) Lower resolution=lower quality. 320x240 resolution is garbage unless you are looking at it in a small window. Your computer is probably set to 1024x768 resolution. Resize the youtube window to about one third of the width and height of the monitor screen and it will probably look "OK", maybe even good. Additionallty there is a chance that youtube lowers the video bitrate this has the same affect.

these are the exact words from YouTube's "help" menu, quote

"We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio, at 30 frames per second. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube."

So, do you think its my camera or it's youtube? Yes i've downsized to 320 x 240, the view window has also resized to half the original, but and it STILL looked GREAT on WindowsMediaPlayer,

I really do not think it is your camera as you say "it STILL looked GREAT on WindowsMediaPlayer." I think it is youtube lowering the video bitrate, doing something else, or maybe a slow download from the youtube server (I have seen some sites that the video bitrate is automatically adjusted to accomadate the download speed. (If youtube does some sort of streaming video. I am not really familiar with youtube.)) Also, it would be helpfull to know what you are truly trying to accomplish here. Are you trying to post your videos out on the Internet so others can view them? Do you want others to actually be able to download them, etc?
