Hi everyone I wondred what video editing software would you all recommend? for the following:
No money limits
A few hundred pounds/dollers
Budget 200 tops???
Thanks
Mark
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ sct 939
Gigabyte K8NXP-SlI
Radeon X700pro 256mb
1GB Kingston value ram 3200
Audigy 2 ZS
200GB Maxtor SATA HDD
DVD Rom

Lots of video editing software out there and I've tried a quite afew of them. (Nero, Adobe, Vegas, My DVD, Pinnacle studio, Pinnacle Liquid, my Movee.. the list goes on.)
I found the Pinnacle systems software to be the best. The Adobe is a little too combersome and the others are a lttle too simple and basic.
Pinnacle editing is fast and smooth, and has loads of plugins (special effects, slo mo, wide variaty of formats recognized... You pay extra for the plugins however). It's also one of the few editors that I have seen that allows DVD burns in Dolby surround sound (both Digital and Pro logic).
I use Pinnacle studio for my simple edits, like removing commercials frome recorded movies. It will handle pretty much all of the average consumers needs. Studio sells for about $80 US.
My more complicated edits are done by Pinnacle Liquid. This is truly a good program and can do it all, but you will pay about $500 US

Premiere Pro 1.5 is FULLY featured. I also use Final cut, and still like Premiere, lol. Vegas is very powerful too. If you want low learning curve, go Pinnale or Ulead, or other consumer software.
