Hi guys!
I intend to earn money occasionally as wedding camera man and I'm looking for a good "video cutter".
I just tried some cheaper software but what annoyed me was that some of them caused huge time shift between audio and video tracks so they were useless and some of them caused huge quality deterioration. Can anybody suggest me a proven and tested software to cut videos in a professional way?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion!

I found Pinnacle Studio 9.4 (older version) to perform good and fairly simple to use.
Never had any problems with the synching of edited videos.

If you want professional, go with Adobe Premier Elements. For the money, the capabilities are far better than the competition. Be aware though, it works best with DV-AVI files, and has a rather steep learning curve to fully utilize it's capabilities.
Go to Adobe, you can download and try the program for 30 days free.

I've found that MPEG1 files edit fine, with no audio/video sync problems. I've had 'lots' of problems with mpeg2, DIVX and XVID.
I convert everything to MPEG1 for editing and then convert back to whatever format is appropriate.By the way, Virtualdub (free) has an audio option to 'manually' do a resyncing. It's a bit of a pain to accomplish (trial and error), but it does work.

Pinnacle 10.8 works great too.
Pinnacle is pretty inexpensive on ebay anymore. Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!
