The gentleman I have a weekly Bible study with is moving across the country. If it is possible we have decided to try Video Calling so we can talk face to face over the INTERNET, I have a Logitec QuickCam Orbit/Sphere web cam. I also have downloaded and installed "SKYPE" software.
Please advise if this is the best way to go. If I try different software I would like a trail period as well as test the video/audio before I buy.
The quality will depend on the speed of the Host and Slave PC/Laptop and the Bandwidth of the Internet Connection, too many variables to give a definitive answer..

Skype should work fine. As mentioned above, it works best with a broadband connection. I have used it with webcam and videocam. It works fine for me.
There are several other apps out there that will work also. Some of the Instant Messengers will handle video.
Btw, if you both have Skype and are talking, computer to computer, there is no reason to buy . . . it's free!
