Can someone help me out. I’m so confused. I purchased an LG DVD/VCR recorder so that I could transfer some VCR tapes to DVD. I tried recording one using the VR (video record) mode. I want to be able to put more than one event on a DVD, so I would like to be able to insert titles and a menu. The problem is, after I dub the VCR tape to the DVD, the file will not open in my DVD-RW on my computer. It does play back on the recorder. I tried just playing it in Nero Showtime, Windows Media Player, and VLC Media Player. I have tried to open the file in Nero, Adobe Elements, and several other free shareware programs. None of these will open the file. When I put the DVD in my DVD-RW in my PC tower. it just sits and spins. Eventually, the hourglass goes away and I’m back where I started. Can someone help me sort this out? Should I not be using the VR mode? Is there a different program that would work to let me insert titles and a menu? I’ve spent so many hours (and dollars!) trying to figure this out. Any help would be very much appreciated!

First read the instructions. I have a DVD recorder. The DVD's must be finalized to be read on the PC. You really can't do any editing on the DVD. To edit you will have to copy the material to the PC.
