please help..i am away from home and am trying to upload photos onto my computer but when i plug the cable into the usb port it doesnt recognise the camera. nothing comes up at all. no warning message even.
i have tried plugging it into all the differnt usb ports with no response. all other devices in the usb ports are working fine.
how do i fix this? do i have to download a driver?
cheers

If you're not even getting a bleep or 'unrecognised item' warning then I'd suspect the cable.
"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..."

it came up on the camera with connection failure. i doubt its the cable because ive used it throughout my travels in a variety of differnt countries and places over the last 5 months with no problems. any other suggestions...???????????

yes, as an alternative, maybe buy a card reader, they are real cheap anymore, I
bought one at Big Lots for $10 and it even had 3 extra USB ports
on it as well as the multi-reader.
My Kodak camera was extremely SLOW at being recognized, now I just pop in the card and it's instantaneous. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
