Unclosed DVD-R

I had a DVD made in a photo store in Spain. It contains photographs and some short videos from a stills camera. The person at the shop appears to have not closed the session therefore making the disk unreadable. No machine is able to see any information whatsoever on the disk. Is there any way I can get the photos from the disk?
