i have a dvd of my kid when they were young im trying to to take a snap shot of them from the dvd but it wont sav as jpg .... it will only save as bmp then when i take another snapshot it overwrites the prvious photo with the one iv just taken... nothing will work iv tried 4 different screen capture programms and each one is doing the same thhin i cant even prntscreen and then paste onto paint as this does the exact same thing iv tried emailing them to myself but they wont send as jpg and when i change the save option to jpg it saves a black screen what is going on ??????

Not sure exactly what it is your doing, but try this:
After using one of your screen capture utilities to get the picture.
It saves it as .bmp file. Correct?You need to convert the .bmp to .jpg
MS Paint should allow you to do this.
Select Start,
Select All Programs,
Select Accessories,
Select PaintDouble Click Paint
Select File,
Select Open,
Navigate to where you saved your .bmp file
Double Click the .bmp file.
After the .bmp files opens,Select File,
Select Save As,
Change the Save As Type from .bmp to .jpg
Click SaveThis should convert your .bmp to .jpg
