I'm trying to copy a series of photos from my hard drive to a SD memory card (for use in an EFrame). After successfully copying 171 files (72.7MB), I get the error message: "Cannot copy (filename). The directory or file cannot be created." I tried two different memory cards: Kingstone 2GB and Crucial 1GB. I also tried copying the remaining files 1 by 1 instead of batching them. The remaining files that cannot be copied are all jpg files that open ok with various photo viewers/editors.
My OS is XP Professional. I tried both a Pandigital EFrame and HP 1610 All-In-One to host the SD card. - all with same results. Any idea what is going on?

Try creating a folder on the card. Then copy the photos to the folder. There are sometimes limits to the number of files that can be in the root folder.

Great suggestion - it worked. But my EFrame (Pandigital) doesn't appear to see folders on the card - it only displays photos that are on the root directory. Any thoughts about that?
I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my post!

You probably need to talk to "EFrame (Pandigital)" about that.
But if that device shows up as a drive, you should be able to use My Computer to work with the files.

Did any one every find out any more about this. I have a Pandigital and am having the same problem - can only load so many on the SD Card and Pandigital does not read folders - just files.

That's strange - I created a folder on the memory card, and was able to load it up with photos and Pandigital played it beautifully.
