Hi peoples, i have a 160gb flytv external hardrive, which enables me to view my external hardrive on my tv.I have transferred photos music ect to the external hardrive. But when i try to view on tv,:no files are found. When i queried this with the helpline they say its the way thet are transferred, this is the part that i am lost at!!!Although i have backupped
to the flytv case, but it seems to be the method of how i transfer,if it wasnt for the fact that i should be able to view files through the tv i would be none the wiser! As the files have been backed up to the flytv case.I TRIED 3 Different ways of backing up :send to; copy and paste drag and drop, but when i plug the flytv case into tv ;NO FILES AVAILABLE;aNY HELP APPRECIATED THANKYOU.

You didn't specify the make/model of your external hard drive. I can not find any info regarding an external hard drive in the FlyTV product list.

however, I don't think the problem is about "how" the files are transferred, but more likely "where". I'm guessing that files may need to be in specific directories based upon the file type. But, since I was not able to find any documentation I can't be sure.

It might be the way fie files are transfered. I'm guessing that you can't just copy the files but perhaps you need to transcode them through some piece of software so they will be a recognisable format. Have you read the instructions on how to transfer the files to the drive?

OK, after a quick search I found the support page for that product. It appears that the files MUST be in the correct folders depending upon what type of files they are. See the FAQ here: http://www.pikaone.com/en/support/f...

Also according to this FAQ your usermanual is on the hard drive itself in the FLTV directory (along with other documents). They suggest you copy that entire directory to your internal hard drive then delete it to free up space (I suggest you burn it to a CD/DVD).

So try out the info in the FAQ and read the manual. Post back if you have any problems. Good luck.
