Transferring photos onto SD card

I am trying to transfer photos from my phone to my SD card and im getting the error cannot rename file (file number). Now i had transfered a bunch of videos on here before which i recently put on my pc cause i thought maybe the card was full. and tried again and nothing.. then i tried transfering pictures from my Nintendo Ds to the card and that worked. can anyone please tell me why it wont work for my cellphone? thank you
