Comment:

I have Sandisk 1gb SD card for digital photo frame, have loaded around 200 photos without problem, but, now when I try to add more, I keep getting an error message 'cannot copy file(name of file). The directory or file cannot be created'

I have even tried to add a photo which I already put on, and am now getting same error?

Can anyone help me? (I have checked capacity and showing 961mb free)

Are you sure your SD isn't locked?

copy the photos to your hard disk. Format the sd card & try copying back again.

My 1GB sandisk pen drive has a capacity of about 970MB. So going by that, if you have 961MB free, 9MB for 200 photo's doesn't seem right.

Cheers Clive,

Transferred all photos back to PC, formatted SD card, transferred them all back again, plus all the other ones I couldn't before.

Thanks very much, but could you tell me why this needed to be done? And, will I need to perform this action again?

Many Many Thanks

Sorry, no idea.

Just in case you have to do it again, backup the pictures to a dvd/cd or your hard drive.

Or google for sd card recovery software.
