Comment: Hi, How can I transfer the video that I have recorded on the Canon Z300 to my computer by using the USB cable? I can only transfer the "still images" to the computer by using the USB cable, but not the "video." In the manual of the camcorder, it only mentions how to transfer the video to computer by using the DV cable, but not with the USB cable? Do I need to have DV cable in order to transfer video? Please help me. Thank you so much Vien

Reply: (edit)I guess you need to purchase a video capture card or external USB capture box.

Reply: (edit)Woop-- wrong answer! You need a firewire card. Don't use any kind of USB adapter box/analog capture card as it will re-compress the video files=crappy picture.
