I just want to know how to get started from step one to the last step on how to put the pictures off my SDcard on to my computer. I have a gateway laptop with windows 7, can you help me please all this is new to me. thank you Tammy

Yes i do, the SD slot is on the right front edge of my laptop.I know how to put the card in but what do i do next? I don't want to do something that might cause me to lose my pictures on the SD card because i have not printed all of the photos. Please help me, all this new tecnology is new to me. I was out of he work force for 4 years and tecnology passed me by. Thank you, Tammy
ok thats good then, make a new file on your computer, name it what ever you want, put yor sd card into the reader then open up the card. you can't delete the pics on it unless the right click the mouse, so don't worry about that. then all you do is copy and paste the pics into the file you made.

I would download Picasa and install it on your PC.

It is free from google. Now if the sd reader on your laptop can read your sd card, just pop it in the slot ad a box will come up asking you what you want to do with the files. Click on Picasa and also on the place that says make this the default. Then all you have to do is name the destination and the pics will get loaded onto Picas and the editing is real good. i use it for my beach & wedding photography, it is real user friendly.If the reader on the laptop does NOT read the sd card then I suggest you buy a cheap usb card reader, that will read any size sd card...that's what I use.
