Comment:

I recently purchased a panasonic miniDV camcorder model PV-GS80. I have a firewire port on my computer and I can connect the camcorder to the computer, but I can't seem to either play the footage saved on the DVC or to move the DVC video to the computer. Can someone help me please?

you have to put the camera in vcr mode and play it, mini dv is digital, but it still has to play back and you must digitise it in real time

Always back up...I JUST LOST 287 gigs entertainment!

Windows Movie Maker 2.21 is quite possibly, with no due respect, the worst software to use for video capturing, and editing! Constantly freezing, no matter what you have running at the same time, even if you have no other programs running.. very bad choice.. i reccomend Pinnacle Studio 9, very good and reliable..

Nice One.. =]

To transfer a dvd from a disc to your computer, i reccomend DVD Ripper/DVDRipper. It is very simple to use, you load the software, load the disc, and click Backup. Simple, once that has been done, thats when WinAvi comes into play..

Nice One.. =]
