Does anyone know of any software that is capable of blowing up a thumbnail to a respectable looking jpeg or other standard-format image?

Nope, it cannot be done. Well it can be done, but it would look awful and nothing like the thumbnail.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

If you want to try it, download IRFANVIEW (free). It 'might' do it. Maybe someone else knows for sure.
But I guarantee that it would look awful. Thumbnails are very low resolution and when you blow one up, you get a very blocky picture.

Sure you can blow it up, the kicker is the quality of the image at a substantially higher rez.

Get a magnifying glass and you can drool on that miniature jpeg.

The internet is a series of tubes!
