Hello,

I recently bought a S-Video to SCART cable to connect my desktop computer to a little 14" CRT TV. I plugged it all in, restarted the pc but I get no picture on the TV at all - just a black screen. Catalyst Control Centre shows a TV in a "Attached displays currently disabled" box but whenever I try to enable it, nothing happens. No matter what resolution I change my desktop to, I get nothing on the TV when I try to enable it.

I thought it might be a problem with the SCART socket, so I plugged a DVD player into it but that worked fine. I then thought, maybe it was a problem with my settings so I tried the S-Video cable with my laptop and again the same problem. Finally I tried the cable with the laptop on the downstairs 32" LCD but again, no signal.

I am completely lost here, it's a brand new cable, can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
