I have Pentium 3 on 500 MHz and I download video from my camcorder panasonic miniDV to the PC, but the picture is very low quality and it looks like the movies from the eighties, I do the streaming through the TV card(composite input), is that OK? Should I get a Firewire instead? Please help.

It's not a problem with the transmission. Either increase the quality that the camcorder is recording at, or increase the quality that the TV card's software is recording at.
