is there a software that you can download to work on any camera for downloading pictures and being able to use your web cam

In a word - no. Many cameras are recognized natively by Windows XP (not sure about MACS). But some cameras on XP, and I believe all on previous Windows, need the appropriate drivers to be recognized. The drivers are product specific meaning that the drivers for one camera will not work on another. However, it could be possible that some drivers for a particular manufacturer will work on a range of their products. Michael J

I have been looking for a week now for the driver software cd for the sipix style camera it is a 2001 virsion .i tried the site found the driver but not the rest of the things on the software cd . i need that in order to view and downlod my pictures. the sypix support has no contact that i can reach . is there some place i can post where someone may have the same camera the mode is style cam

You should need nothing more than the drivers to download the photos to the computer. Go here and click the link on the left for the 2100. There is a link to a document if you are having trouble downloading your pictures. Michael J

michel on that page you need to go to the style cam click on manuel and go to page 7 or 8 and it tells you to install dsriver and the rest of the sopft ware, it is not the 2100 thanks for come back
