Specs: Windows 7, Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU 2.00 GHz/4.00 GB
timestamp on mpg is in 1601 I need to change the timestamp on several videos and can not figure out how they got that way let alone how to change it to a valid date. I am running windows 7 and these are old home videos that I do not want to lose, not sure what else you need to know.

See More: Several mpg videos have a modified date of Januray 01,1601.

There are free date changer programs about. Haven't used this particular one but it looks promising and is OK on Win7.

There's a strange thing about 1601 which goes right back to the W98 days. No idea what it is but someone else might know.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thank you Derek, I am still not sure where to go from here, do I google for the program, when I googled to find an answer it kept bringing up time changers for pictures (jpg) but I didn't see any for mpg, will see what I can find, I don't see that you gave an actual program to use, will let you know.

Aw shucks - I didn't post the link.

I think it was this one (top of page):

You just run it from the downloaded file without installing it.

That's good news.

I like those neat little utilities that simply do what you want without a load
of bells and whistles.

I've worked out that you probably made a typo "not changed" instead of
"now changed" (#5). Not half as bad as me omitting the link in #1 LOL.

Thx for popping back to let us know the outcome.
