Did you say you accidentally folded the old SD card? As in, the actual card that you hold in your hands got snapped in half and folded like a piece of paper?

In that case, you will need to find a specialist firm who recover from such drastic catastophes. It may cost a bit.

I'm afraid all I know is they are called "data recovery specialists" and there are different types of them, cheap ones that can only recover data that's easy to recover, and expensive ones that can try to recover data that most people would think is impossible. But I've never needed to use any of them myself, so I can't give you any names. All I know is what I have heard from others. Sorry I can't be more helpful. And I forgot to say, congratulations on your new baby!

how could you FOLD an SD card? If you physically folded the card I think there is no hope whatsoever of retrieving the data from it, sorry

This is what I found on google:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...

and this about a bent sd card, scroll down the page for the pics:
http://www.prophotohome.com/forum/o...

and here's a company with some prices on getting the information off the bent card, some others may be less:
http://www.flash-data-recovery.co.u...

The cheapest on that site was:
69.00 GBP = 113.047 USD plus tax

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
