I use an SD card for viewing pictures on a digital photo frame. A 256gb card was loaded about half and viewed for a couple months. I tried to put more pics on the card and got an error that said "Connot copy file, the directory or file cannot be created. I bought a new 2gb card today and copied about 500mg of pics onto the card, then started getting the same message. Can anyone shed any light onto why this is happening? I have run error reports on this card, it is "working properly". Help!

I saw this solution on another site and tried it, yes it solved the problem and I was able to download more content onto the card, but then it locked up the digital frame and wouldn't play. I also found a microsoft reply to this problem, it says that the root directory for a FAT drive has a fixed location on the hard drive and a certain number of directories based on the FAT drive, limiting the number of bytes that can be used for the directory. When the limit is reached, the error I recieved pops up.
