scanner & camera wizard

July 20, 2009 at 07:51:38
Specs: Windows XP
When I connected my camera with a USB cable, the scanner & camera wizard used to come up and give me choices. Then I was able to put my photos in the folder I chose. Now, since others have used my computer, the scanner & camera wizard opens, but it only scans stuff from my printer, it won't recognize the camera. The camera only wants to go to Kodak EasyShare, wich I don't want. Help??

sounds like someone chose the option to use Kodak crappy....oooops easyshare...lol to do it all the time. I myself use picasa as a preference, and you say you like the folder selection.

What you may want to try is, when you plug in the camera, open my computer, right click on the camera icon and left click on open with. That should open up a bunch of selections so you can choose folders and make that the default selection. Good luck

I agree with your opinion of Kodak EasyShare. I tried following your suggestions but MyComputer wouldn't recognize my camera. So I deleted KodakEasyShare from the computer, turned off my printer, and finally got back the message I used to get. Scanner & Camera Wizard opened up and gave me all the options I needed. Thanks for your help.
