Reducing Video

Specs: Windows XP
I just purchased an FS100 Canon video camera. I recorded a video using XP for higher quality. I used the Canon CD to upload the file to my computer. It plays on Windows Media player and is an MPEG 155MB file. I wanted to upload the file to the web, but the file is too big. I tried to open it up in Windows Movie Maker, but it will not recognize the file. Can you please tell me the name of a software that I can get, that will recognize and reduce the file to upload. Thank you if you can help.

First of all - there is a great new way to
share your videos without uploading them - ! Just select a file
and start watching it with your buddies
across the net, instantaneously, no lingering
uploads, no size limits - like a magic. !

Second -
To reduce your videos you have to transcode
it to another format/quality level. Following
utility does it very well 'SUPER ©
Simplified Universal Player Encoder &
Renderer' -
