I have produced a 11 minute video which I am struggling to get the size down on. The screen size of the video is 720x576
Now the file size in the following formats is as follows
avi\wmv 177mb mpg 277mb div/x 119mb
Now is this the normal sort of size you can expect or can I get the file size smaller yet retaining the screen size and not losing to much quality.
I did get the file size to 99mb using div/x but I had to reduce the screen size to 600 x ???(can't remember).

To reduce the size of a video file, you have to either reduce the screen size or quality. There's no way around that.
Those file size numbers for the MPG, XVID and DIVX videos are about what I see for my videos. I don't like to go any lower quality than that. It's just personal preference, but I think most people compromise around that level for the best quality at the smallest file size.
