I have one video (AVI) file that all of a sudden whenever I attempt to play it I get a Program Not Responding error and in my task window it shows two copies of WMP not responding.
Any idea what might be causing this and how I might correct it? Thanks for your help.

Try another player... at least this way you will know if the fike is corrupt or WMP is not quite right.

VLC Media Player will play practically anything even some iso's. If it can't play in this then you probably have a corrupted avi file. There are some repair programs out there that you could try, would be interested to see if they work.

Try right clicking on the file and selecting Play or open WMP first and open the file by navigating to the file from it's menu so that you have only one instance of WMP trying to play the file at a time.
