Anyone got information on which is the best glossy paper to use with a laserjet printer, or is that a no-no? i have historic photos to be printed and a HP colour laserjet 5500 printer and would like to know what is the best paper to use so these photos will last. or is it better to use an epson photo R800 with glossy paper. money is no object. i live in south australia. sueceduna

Check out THIS HP claim. Quoted: HP's best photo paper, HP Premium Plus delivers professional-quality photos that resist fading up to 115 years when using HP Vivera inks.

Printing on Glossy paper won't help with your laserjet prints. Glossy paper keeps the ink from soaking into the paper on inkjet printers keeping the colors vivid. Toner doest' soak into the paper so there is no need to use glossy. It might actually create problems since the toner can't bind to smooth surfaces as well, you may have problems with toner coming off eventually.
You would be better off using the Epson for printing photos. Laserjets were never meant to print photo quality images.

I would suggest using the R800 with Kodak Professional Lustre Glossy paper....awesome prints!
