OK Guys (or girls) I've searched for an answer to this and have only found a few solutions that I’m not happy with. Basically I'm looking for a free program that will convert a power point presentation to a DVD to be played in a standard dvd player. I've downloaded quite a few programs (after a search from google) and they work ok...but they put text on the screen that says it’s a trial version of the software and that messes up the DVD...or they are just really expensive. I've searched this forum to see if someone else has asked this question, but either I’m not entering the proper search criteria or it’s just been a really long day...I basically can't find a good solution. So can anyone recommend some software that will help me accomplish my goal? I’m only doing this 1 time and I had downloaded a program that even though it was not free it would allow the dvd to be burned twice....well it lacked a lot of features that I would like to do (i.e. arrange buttons, insert my own background etc...) so please forgive me and I thank all of you for your time in helping me with this.

Thanks

Your request although not impossible, is unique enough so that no matter what you do, it will end up costing some money. Non main-stream things are ALWAYS this way.

My advice... don't waste anymore time with freebies... dole out the money.

Ok well what program would you recommend? I found a tutorial that does exactly what I want with the help of Nero vision (which I have because it comes with Nero 7) however....after I made my dvd (and it does play in a standard dvd player)...I have 1 problem....

no matter what TV I play it on (widescreen or standard) it cuts off the text from the power point presentation on the top, sides and bottom...but like I said it basically does what I want....now is that (if you know) a problem with the size of the power point slides or the conversion process and can I fix this? I’m not a PowerPoint guy so I don’t know how to fix that if that is the problem....did any of that make sense?

Thanks again for your help.

Btw: for anyone who might read this post in the future and you have the exact problem…here is the link to the tutorial I found.

But, it looks to me like you have to pay 40 bucks for the program. Or is this the only time you'll ever use it ? Looks to me like Blackbill's comments were right on. Have you gone to Camtasia's webb site for support on this? The folks at Techsmith have always been helpful to me.
