Subject: Playing Video on Portable DeviceOS: Win XP SP2CPU/Ram: 2.2 GHz 1.0GBModel/Manufacturer: Compaq SR1230NX |
Comment: I recently purchased a Creative Labs Zen Vision W MP3 player and am experiencing some problems getting videos transferred over. I bought a couple music videos from www.watchmusichere.com , downloaded them and can watch them fine with Windows Media Player 11. They are all capable of being played on up to 3 devices which is why I purchased them. The problem I have is when I try to sync my Portable Player (Vision W)with Windows Media Player, I get an error that says "Windows Media Player cannot sync the file because protected files cannot be converted to the required quality level or file format." The videos were not purchased from a subscription site, and they should play on up to 3 devices. I have also tried to sync the video to my MP3 player with the software supplied with the player itself. I use the Window Explorer drop-and-drag and the error I get there is "Cannot copy 'wmg._mychemicalrom_theghostofyouvi_dl_1500k.wmv' Video converter is unable to convert the video into a supported format because the DirectShow(R) Codec required is not installed on your computer" I have tried to research this codec on google and such, but am not sure exactly what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and sorry for the lengthy explanation, I was trying to be as thorough as possible. If you need any further info to help assess the situation just let me know. Thanks Michael

Reply: (edit)Thanks for the response, however, I am still getting the same error messages...If I click the details under the error message that says the file cannot be copied it says "The video file does not match the playback capability of your player. Refer to the following for more information: The 1400 kbs video data rate is too high (maximum: 802kbs) The 640 x 480 video resolution is too high (maximum: 480 x 272) The total bit rate: 1527 kbs is too high (maximum 850 kbs)

Reply: (edit)yes,"The video file does not match the playback capability of your player."mean that your portable devices can't support the format, you just only convert video to them supported, such as video to zune converter, video to ipod, video to psp ,video to 3GP,maybe they is your choice, you can try
