I have managed to find DVD burning programs to use, some good some not so good. I favor three; InterVideo WinDVD CReator, Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 and My DVD by Sonic. I have produced DVD from my video files and the ones on plain CD's will play back in my Home Theatre unit. the ones on DVD-R will not, the DVD-r will not play in my PC either. I realize the Home Theater may be limited in its ablity to play back, but is there any program that will cover the short fall of not playing and DVD-R in my Panasonic Home Theater ,Built 2001, and burn the disc in a format which is readable by all play back units?

Thank You.

If your player will only play DVD+ DVDs, record your DVDs on DVD+ media.

If you were in latin america you could buy a multiregion, multi format home dvd player. They will play all regions and will play dvd+-r and cd-r, cd-rw, mp3s, video cds.. I mean all of them and for under $100. In the U.S. or Canada I don't think you can do that.
I know this doesnt' really help you, but just thought I'd give out some info

You could buy a new player. It will probably be more accepting of different media.

Thank you all.
But I'm not just ready yet to trade in the home theatre I have and purchase a new one.
Although the Walmart player is very reasonable at $39.95, I don't think it sound quit the same as the unit I currently have.
Somewhere, someone has run into the same problem I have and probably came up with a solution, not buying a new player, I just have to find it.
Thank you all again
