I have a Sony Handycam and would like to capture my videos into Pinnacle 9 but my videos automatically go to the Sony Picture Package. I'm using a firewire. How can I set my pc or Pinnacle so I can choose where my videos are to go?

Try launching Pinnacle first and then connect and power on the camera.

I am running Pinnacle 10+, and if your Sony camcorder is the older analog (not digital)platform, Pinnacle may not see it at all. I finally had to purchase a Hauppauge PVR250 capture card to get my family analog camcorder videos saved as MPEG2 files, and then they imported into Pinnacle just fine.
