photoshop cs3 will no longer start after runn

Specs: Windows 7 Pro
I made a slide show with ProShow Gold and it went back and forth to Photoshop to do some editing. Since then I click on Photoshop CS3 and nothing happens. In the Task Manager it show up as an active process and won't let me end the process called Photoshop.exe.

I've reinstalled photoshop and tried starting it from the probram file folder, still won
t work. I've used Pareto to do a registry fix -- no help. I'm stuck.

Delete Photoshop, then go to the Program Files folder and make sure the Adobe Photoshop folder was deleted. If it wasn't deleted, manually delete it. Also look under Program Files/Common Files for any remnance of Adobe Photoshop folder and delete thoat too. Then try to re-install. Sometimes junk gets left behind.
