Hi,
I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 installed and would like to learn how to use the "guides" more efficiently.
I will describe my most common requirements below.1) I create a canvas that is 3.625 inch wide and 2.125 inch tall. I need to have .25 inch margin at each end. I can create the top and left margins easy by going to "view>new guide" and entering the value of 0.25.
However, to create the guides on the right and the bottom I have to subtract .25 from the widhth and height of the document respective. Is there any faster way that I can have a 4 guies around the documen which are .25 inch from the edges. Sometimes this needs to be 3/16 inch, too.2) I have placed one image/text box on the top area of the canvas and one at the lower area. Now, what I want to do is place another third image/text box that is exactly in the center of these two. How do I measure the exact midpoint between two images/textboxes? I have the "smart guides" enabled which help a bit, but they dont help me find the midpoints between two objects.
3)What is the fastest way to modify the grid so that I can only have a grid that is either .25 inch boxes or 3/16 inch boxes.
Although this is not exactly a photoshop forum, I have found great help here in the past, and if anyone can share some tips with me that would be very nice.
Regards,
