Solved Nikon Coolpix P7000 doesn't take pics

March 12, 2014 at 15:07:34
Specs: Windows 7
I've replaced battery with Dot.Foto one and SD card with Kingston SDHC 8GB one. The flash doesn't work either .Although a red light shines on subject when I press shutter. There's a circular symbol with an arrow which points both ways clock and anti-clock. This symbol appears above shutter speed and aperture.

You may have set the exposure mode to "M" where you have to set either the shutter speed or aperture (that's what the arrows are for) to the correct value before the shutter button will work.

Set the exposure mode to Automatic (A) or Program (P) with the largest round button on the top plate and you should be able to take a picture.
