New SD Card Problem

I bought a new SD memory card for my camera, I have a SD card reader built in to my computer, my old memory card just pops in & loads up my pictures ... the problem is my new card once popped in just does not do anything ??? just has the little egg timer but never loads up the pictures ! (ps checked the lock and this isn't the problem !) any help would be appreciated

Could it be, you have SDHC & the reader is not compatible? UK MP's are thieving scumbags. EU members are worse.
