Hello all. This is an incredibly minute problem, but it is making me crazy. I am trying to burn a home video onto DVD using the "Make your own DVD" option. If you notice when making the DVD, the "Edit menu" window has two boxes of dashed lines that do not expand to cover the entire menu. (The dashed lines are on the actual main menu of the DVD in edit mode, if that makes sense.) If you have been to this stage, you will know what I mean. The problem: When I play the DVD I have made on the computer, there is no problem. BUT when I play the DVD on my TV, 2 inches get cut off of the video from each side. What gets cut off seems to match the exact lines of the outer box on the Edit menu page. Question: Is there a way to expand these lines or to get rid of them? I am trying to make it so that I can see the entire frame when I play the movie on my television. Any help, advice, or resources would be appreciated!!!! Thanks!

I don't think the lines have much to do with it... they're just guide lines showing a "safe zone" and have little to do with the actual editing. Are you sure you have the correct aspect ratio set??? Computers automaticaly adjust for propor aspect ratio.... TV's do not. If you have a 16:9 picture and have your dvd set up for 16:9 display... you will clip some of the picture if played on a 4:3 tv. The same is true the other way around but the top and bottom are clipped.
