Using a recorded pvr show about 30 minutes long. The file is recorded as mpeg svcd quality.
I open my Nero Vision Express and select make a DVD. After I select the file and set the menu and backgrounds the way i want them. I click the burn button and either one or two things will happen. In the process of burning the dvd Nero will vanish and without even Windows Xp leaving me an error message to send to Microsoft or Nero will just sit there hung up. My task manager will say nero is running but no progress is being made on the bar and my dvd light on the drive is not blinking meaning it is not writing.
If any experience people out there have a clue. What I'm doing wrong please let me know? Already tried Nero updates.

Have you just installed Nero for the first time? If so, does your system meet the minimum required specs for Nero?

I've had Nero 6 about 2 years now and nero 6 is also about 2 years old now. I have an Athlon xp 2000 with 1.5 gig ram. (Yes it's old and i will probably get something new after Vista been out awhile, lol) I have no problem burning dvds using dvd shrink and nero in iso mode as well as many other nero features work.
Yes, i've tried several videos. No luck
It is weird xp or nero is not giving an error message though.
