I need instructions on how to obtain/install an MPEG1 codec. This is for encoding in MPEG1 when recording from a TV tuner. I have been using PowerVCR to record. It works but evidently it has a built-in MPEG1 encoder. I would like to switch to a different recording program. The one I would like to switch to has a whole bunch of recording formats, but not MPEG1. I have spent a lot of time searching om the internet. I find mpeg1 codecs, but they all seem to be for playback. I'm obviously missing something. If someone can get me going in the right direction, I would really be grateful.
