Comment:

I downloaded and installed MS Photo Editor. When starting the programm I instantly get the following message: "No File Information Can Be Found In The Registry". The programm then starts, but does not recognise any of the formats it should recognise (JPG , GIF etc). Does anyone know how to provide the registry with the information mentioned?

Dear Tufenuf,
Thanks so much.
I tried to do exactly what was asked. (make sure that the user has full control, using the Regedit.exe - prompt).
Unfortunately it didn't help. Also I tried to re-install the thing as administrator (which obviously has full control)... nada.
Any other suggestions?
In any case: thanks again!!!
Ciao

Tufenuf, you're the best!
I solved my problem.
For those who care: go to the exe of the programm. Right-click. Go to the compatibility-mode and set it to the apropriate version.

Thanks again Tufenuf!
