My computer crashed before Christmas and the IT engineer installed a new hard drive. He also installed Office 2003 so I have been unable to edit my photos without Microsoft Photo Editor. Can you please advise me.

If you want the best, but pretty expensive: Adobe Photoshop

http://picasa.google.com/FWIW to XP users: When you click on the 'Command Prompt' you are just causing the 'Command prompt' to be displayed. This prompt gives you access to NTVDM.EXE, the 'NT Virtual DOS Manager'.

If you still have the CD from an earlier version of MS Office you can install MS Photo Editor alongside Office 2003.
Just don't try and install MS Word or Excel from the old version alongside the new version.

A Google search came up with the following site with a Microsoft PhotoEditor download:

FWIW to XP users: When you click on the 'Command Prompt' you are just causing the 'Command prompt' to be displayed. This prompt gives you access to NTVDM.EXE, the 'NT Virtual DOS Manager'.
