Comment:

I hope you all can help. I just purchased the Canon Powershot 540 for a special a occasion. Still not entirely familiar with the camera, I hit "format" on it and the next thing I know, the photos from my event were gone. Is it possible to retrive them from the memory card? I don't have a card reader, and am really unfamiliar with digital cameras.

Thanks in advance!!

to retrieve what you lost you need special software. I use scavenger and I've gotten back most of my pics even after a reformat or after erasing my pics.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Is that the full name, "Scavenger"? Can I download it, or must i buy it in a store? How much does it typically run?
