media player dont detect disk to burn

Media player does not detect dvd=r or dvd -r it
says please insert a disk and it wont burn it

Did you mean windows media player?
Windows media player cannot burn DVDs, it can burn only CDs. You need to use dvd burner software if you want to burn video/audio to DVD
I recommend you use cucusoft to burn DVD movies, it is good at burning videos to dvd movies and make them play on DVD player. It Supports DivX, XviD, AVI, VOB, .asf, .wmv, .rm, .rmvb, and .mov format as input video.
