I am making a DVD video with several different tv programmes and photos of a music event. The files come way over the 4.7GB of one DVD disc so I was wondering what the best way of doing this? Should I simply use two disk? Should I use a double layered disk? or is there anyway of compressing the video/photos to fit the disc without affecting the quality?

Almost all compression will lose some quality. If you have a dual layer burner you could use it. The easiest is to use two disks.

Like Wizard-Fred said, compression automatically causes some loss of quality. The quality degradation is proportional to the amount of compression. Only you can say if the quality loss is acceptable or not.
