Hi there. I was transferring pictures from my digital camera (Canon Power Shot SD400 Digital ELPH) to my PC and I left the room. When I returned, I assumed they were finished downloading and erased the pictures from my camera. Now, I find that the pictures are not in the location I specified. The pictures are gone! Is there anything I can do???? Please help.

Hopefully they were stored somewhere. To find them you can try the following. If you remember any of the file names, do a search for a unique part of one of the names. Or if you know the format of the pictures (example = JPG), do a search for *.jpg. There will be a bunch found, but hopefully you will find yours in the pack.

I agree with aegis1 and will add one little part. When searching for *.jpeg also ask the search to look for recently created files so you won't have a huge list. Once the search is done, simply categorize all the files by date created and you SHOULD be able to find your pictures.
