If by "MG ink" you mean the Canon ink used in Canon's MG printer's, those cartridges will fit only Canon printers. If you want a recommendation, I use a Canon inkjet photo printer myself and I wouldn't buy any other make of printer.
Epson printers: the printhead becomes blocked with dried-up ink too easily and too often, though photo quality can be excellent (I used to have one).
HP Printers: Photo output is not as good as either Epson or Canon, and the U-shaped paper in/paper out system can crack the coating on some types of heavyweight glossy photo paper (I've actually seen this happen).
Lexmark printers: definitely the poorest quality for photo output, plus their ink cartridges are the most expensive of the lot. (I bought one for my daughter - bad choice).
