Hello,
Is there any way to limit the number of times a DVD can be viewed? Specifically..on the DVD itself. I don't want to rely on a workstation setting.

DVD's themselves don't work that way. However, you could re-author the DVD with software that will put time limits or the amount of times the DVD can be played. It will put the information in a hidden registry entry that counts the amount of times the disc was played in that computer.
One such program is ProShow Gold. You can put still photos or videos on a DVD and set it to the amount of times the show will play. Unfortunatly, this doesn't limit the total times played on different computers, just each computer.

And, of course, it can always be circumvented by those with the knowledge.
