I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 and recently the video hasn't been working. I turn the laptop on and it'll just turn all white sometimes or show nothing at all. Sometimes it would boot up, but once it tries to get to the passed Windows Xp or if it touch it, it would blue screen. I suspect it is the video card problem but I can't be sure. I cleaned everything (took all the parts out and all) and it would boot into Windows, I left it on for 20 minutes, once I touched it.. it would shut down or die off. Can anyone help me?

Did you try booting your laptop in safe mode to see if you're able to move your cursor without crashing? To go into safe mode, at .5 second intervals, press the F8 key intill you're asked to start WindowsXP in different ways. If you got it right, you'll see a list. If you did it wrong, you'll see the WindowsXP logo trying to boot your computer. At that point, restart your laptop and try again. At the top of the list, there should be "Safe Mode". With your keyboard, go up to it and press Enter. See if you can get into your desktop. Once there, let me know if you got this far and we'll go from there.
