This may be covered somewhere, if I knew how to phrase it. I returned last week from vacation and downloaded my 500+ digital photos to my HD, using the Kodak Easyshare software, as I've done many times before. This time there is a strange problem.

While I was on vacation, my battery low light came on and I popped in another set of batteries. After taking a few (one maybe?) the camera wanted me to reenter the date/time, etc. I continued using it as normal. When I downloaded the pictures, which took forever, I was finally able to see what came across. What I see on the camera Preview is not all on my HD. I think the camera started over in it's numbering scheme and replaced the first set with the newer set, at download time, having the same image numbers. This is my theory, but I have no way to prove it, since there are no 'folders' per se in the camera.

My question is, how can I get the two sets of images both transferred to my HD? Short of trying to go through 500+ (there may actually be 600+) individual photos? I actually went out and bought a larger, 2 GB SD module, in hopes that I wouldn't have any problems with the volume of photos. Any ideas, thoughts, suggestion here will be much appreciated. I could get a card reader, if it's possible to be able to 'read' the module, outside the camera.

Thank you.

Bob

A positive attitude won't solve all your problems, but it will annoy just enough people to be worth the effort.
