Hi

I'm wondering if there is a website where I can upload an image I have found and find out if that image is elsewhere on the internet.

Like if someone had fake facebook pictures they'd gotten from Google, I could find out whether it's been found on some random site off Google images or what not.

Like a duplicate image finder but searches the net, not your computer.

Does this exist?

Cheers

I don't believe Google has face recognition or image recognition abilities but searching for the name of the image contents itself would result in many returns.

For example: Searching in Google Images for "Mary Smith" it produces:
http://images.google.com/images?hl=...

15,300,000 results.

Hmm,

I know ther are utilities that allow you to digitally fingerprint your images so that you can find out if someone is copying your images and posting them on their own sites. I don't remember all the details but I would expect that there is some type of monthly fee. Using something like that you could fingerprint an image and have the service see if the image is duplicated anywhere else.
