This is for information only. I recently installed Paint Shop Pro 11 on a machine but it failed at 'registering components' and in the task manager the installer process was using 50%, this is a dual core system. 3 Hours later and I finally found what was causing it! Apparently if you have a dual core system with Nvidia graphics then this is what causes it, VGA DRIVERS! Update to the newest ones from Nvidia and all is sorted. If you can't download the drivers and need a quick workaround then go into the display properties and turn Hardware Acceleration down to 'none'. Hope this helps anyone else who comes accross this problem.
